Are there limitations to what 3Dpainter can open? I tried to open a model in 3DPainter and 3DPainter crashes. The model is plane, flat geometry BUT it has a large number of stamps of 5 decals on it. Model is the ParadeGround model in TWO:

Hi David,

Currently, there is a maximum limit of 30 decals per patch. You can have hundreds of decals on your model, but each patch can only have 30. I will try to remove this limit in the next update (which should be out in a few days).

Best regards,
Filip

I wonder why anyone would need more than 30 decals per patch. Anyway....new update soon!!! smile.gif

Don't you mean 30 decals per model? The model certainly didn't have more than 30 decal per patch (at worst there might have been 4 where decal corners crossed over). Will the new bake function in AMv15 work on decals?
Cheers

There are a few patches that appear in more than 30 stamps. For example the patch 569,770,891,753 (somewhere in the middle of the model) appears in 32 stamps (for 5 different decals).

The bake function will create its own decals in your model. It will not change the existing decals.

But I can remove all the other decals and just use the baked one can't I?

It may work, why not try it.
