Hah!

No tape but... I have another funny story about a dog.

My older sister's dog is about 7 years old. He is TERRIFIED of certain types of flooring. Like linoleum. I thought it had to do with "smooth" type floors but that isn't the case. He won't even walk on the floor if they put throw rugs over it. Noone knows exactly what type of floor causes his fear but my parents kitchen is one of them. The whole time my sisters family was visiting the poor beast would stand at the threshold to the kitchen and just stare sadly at everyone. He would have to walk all the way around to the other side when we took him outside. This was strange because the floor in other areas was similar but he had no trouble with them.

The floor in that animation looks like it might be the same type of flooring. I often think my sister's dog would just "explode" like that if forced to walk on the "scary floor".

hee hee - love it - John - looks like a christmas ornament - a fitting end to last year...

(Vern - is this the same poor doggy that you terrorized by tripping over him? )
John Bigboote

No, this is the other dog that visited for the holidays. He is also terrified going down steps. He can go up but has trouble going down and sometimes needs to be carried. He is very large and this can be a nuisance.

That's really cool John but was there a reason you had the dog fall apart immediately instead of showing him whole for say about a second before he falls apart?
johnl3d
No reason just trying out V15 to see if it still worked with everything...see the posting about 15a..decal problem that was discovered while testing with the dog

Here is a toon version of the same project with a 15 frame delay

Looks cool, John. smile.gif

Is that just Newton Physics or did you have to explode the model first?
johnl3d
you right click the model and choose the plugin wizard explode rebuild then depending on the model and settings it can take some time to setup and build the exploding model then set as a dynamic exploding model in newton...be sure at least ground is static then simulate newton I then saved the chor action as a separate action which was used with another action to delay it in the toon version

That looks pretty cool.
