I'm getting back to using A:M after a, um, 3 yr break I guess. Just wanted to get an overview of what's the latest with v15. Subscription idea is interesting idea, seems to make sense.

Anyhow, the hash.com website doens't seem to have a link to current features, etc, and it's probably because I'm old and blind, so, please point me to the right page or thread.

Thanks!
Andrew

<oh, and I notice that this forum lists me as a newb. hmph. I started with Animation:Journeyman on the Amiga, so there.>

You are neighter old nor blind if you dont find it... it is more like an insider-tipp (why is a big mysterium for me too so):
A:M 2004 - Features (v11, v11.1)
A:M 2005 - Features (v12)
A:M 2006 - Features (v13)
A:M 2007 - Features (v14)

There is no page for A:M 2008 (v15) features till now, but two of the more important once are:
- Fluids -> Particles for liquid-simulations
- Texture Baking -> You can bake the appearience of a model to one texture... (that means bake materials, stamps, surface-properties, etc.)

See u

You're a Newb because you haven't posted enough. Wait till you hit 200 posts - then you're a Master biggrin.gif

Welcome back old timer. Looking forward to your contributions.

Thanks for the pointers to the previous releases, that was helpful. I've always appreciated the fact that A:M is produced by people that are actually using the software for production. Working in the software industry as my day job, I see far too many projects that are run by people just developing esoteric "features."

I notice, however, the "make art" button is still missing. When will we see that? Oh, and the mind reader plug-in would be nice - so that the picture in my head is instantly modeled on screen.

Anyhow, I think I'll have to go for the subscription!
