Hi all,
How do I move my SVN repository from one HD to another and still have it work as a SVN repository? My aim is to put it on a external HD so I can move it from one machine to the next.
Cheers

I sourced it on one machine -the base, and then pointed the application at that folder from each of my networked pc's in tools options. I would think that a seperate drive may work the same.

Yes - but I already have the repository on a fixed drive. I need to move it to an external drive so I can then take it to work and access it from my work PC.

Sorry David, I guess I should have been clearer. I had set up a resources file on a 420gb hard disk, and I use that as a resources file for or am stuff on any of the PCs(setup with thanks to rusty) I used the same method that noel suggested in that thread(wish I had read it) to set up svn, similar for libraries, materials etc. I meant that I couldn't see any difference in setting the database on a mobile drive on a network, providing the drive was re-connected each time you needed to use the information.
Hope you get it sorted,
Chris

To further complicate things, the Mac version of update through community seems to crash AM. The Intel version is fine. Because of the unreliability of the Community page I have been relying on accessing SVN update functionality through explorer but moving the folders causes SVN to no longer recognise the repository folders as repository folders and there seems to be no way of recovering from this (ie there is no undo)
I did have the entire 15gb+ repository installed on one of my drives but a failed move followed by a HD crash killed it all and I haven't had the inclination to try to download it all again. The Shared Data folders are bad enough at ~2gb. (I've done those 3 times now looking for a way to move repository folders)
Cheers
