Just tried the OSX version on a simple project (cuecard model with tga decal from TWO) and 3dpainter returned a 'Could not load file' message.
Hi David,
The problem has to do with the é in "Robert Holmén" (it's in the file under 'CreatedBy). This character is not in the standard 'character encoding'. You have to enable the option 'Read .mdl files with encoding' in the preferences window and set the value to 'windows-1252' or 'latin1' like I did in the screenshot. You only have to do this once and the file will load from now on. In future updates, I will make this the default (on Windows, the problem does not happen).

There appears to be an issue trying to run 3DPainter from a Parallels partition on the iMac. The machine Id has changed all by itself so the unlock key no longer works! All I did was remove the floppy disk drive. Could this be something that the Machine Id algorithm is looking at?
From the logfile you sent me, I could see that the computer name had changed (it's one of the things the machine ID is based on). In normal situations, the computer name will not change automatically (maybe Parallels changed it; for example, because it detected multiple virtual machines with the same name). But if it does change, just mail us the new machine ID and we'll make you a matching license key.
Best regards,
Filip
