Wasn't there a way to do this in the newer versions of AM? I wasn't able to find any so I started looking for that plug-in stephen gross worked on a while back.

Well... I guess MirrorBone on his plugin page does weights as well that perphaps is what I was thinking of...

Yes, MirrorBone is Steffen's plugin for copying weighting and bones...maybe you were thinking about Weight Mover, the Anzovin product (I think it's been discontinued). Steffen's "Transfer_AW" will do what Weight Mover did.
