Updated set and rendered with the newly textured witch.

The set composition looks great, Mark!

Yeah, great detal in the landscape. Good work.
That looks like a shoulder poking though her cape (I thought I fixed that a while back).
mtpeak2
Ken, it's just the textures on the cape.

I got one tree that's bugging me that I need to fix, but other than that, it's all good.

Hmmmm...too much green in scene (Witch green cape) , not enough contrast between witch hair/hat.

I uploaded a witch2 model (purplish cape, orangier hair) - Could you try that and see if that works mo bettah or not. I mean the poor ol gal only has 5? 6? less? seconds of glory in this flick - so she will want to look her utmost atrociousness.

Rerendering with witch2 and updated tree.
mtpeak2
Here's the updated render.

I think the hair looks too much like a veil, maybe try changing the hair image. Also, I still think you need more contrast in the hair color, maybe try an old lady, blue/grey/purple kind of color, or not, that's up to you.
NancyGormezano
Well - I think? the new colors of Witch work better in this setting. What do you think?

What I'm now noticing - and probably does not matter - but hard to tell in a still - is that 1) her hair is drooped - because of dynamics (I forgot she had dynamic hair). If it gets in the way of her face in the animation - should probably turn that off (or tweak) in her hair material. 2) Also that her bangles now show reflectivity (the previous frame did not show it) - I also forgot about that - as I was trying to do a tortoise shell plastic-y type material (which I prefer) - but I think the reflective stuff works ok too.

That's what ya get when ya do cheap & quicky labor.

I like your new tree material
mtpeak2
The colors work better, but the hair needs more contrast, I think. (read my previous post again, if you didn't already)

I like the reflections better. (I may have had reflections turned off in the previous render)
NancyGormezano
Okey dokey - I see we are of opposite opinions - I am going to turn down the reflectivity of the bangles - leave the color of hair orange-ish, and turn off gravity in her hair material so that it won't droop, but will still move with forces.

I will commit that version to the svn as witch.
mtpeak2
Ok, whatever you say Nancy, it's your texturing assignment.
NancyGormezano
I may not be able to do anything. I am so frustrated right now. I seem to have lost the ability to commit any .mat files to the svn???

I have committed the new witch model - but I don't get any svn options for the new hair mat file

All my mat files look like they are associated as a microsoft access table shortcut ? and even when I change what opens the mat file to AM - I still do not get an option. This is so screwy.
mtpeak2
Where are you trying to add it, within AM or right clicking on file? Is the file embedded?

When I try to right click on the witchhair.mat file within the map folder - I do not get any svn options.

However - when I right clicked on the map folder (under the witch) and chose commit - it uploaded the new mat file for the hair

So it should be there now.

Very icky.
mtpeak2
Hmm, strange.
