Hi all,

While waiting for my last assignment to be approved by Robert (which I just saw on the thread that it was), Martin has given me a clean up shot. The animation is excellent but it's not fully relaying the story.

I came up with an idea and I'd like some feedback please.

In the shot, Tin owl is suppose to remove Mrs. Yoop's apron. In an earlier sequence we see Mrs. Yoop get out of bed and put on the apron by slipping the top loop over her head and she reaches back and makes a tying gesture. This to me says to show Tin owl removing the apron, he should untie the apron from the back first, then pull the looped top over her head.

I created a storyboard of this but my printer/scanner's currently not hooked up because of room renovations.

In the shot, Mrs. Yoop is lying on the floor and getting ready to get up. When she gets up, her back is temporarily to tin owl who is flying past her. I'm planning on having Tin owl quickly swoop toward Mrs. Yoop and untie the back of the apron by pulling on a tied bow. This releases the apron. As Tin owl unties the apron, Mrs. Yoop swings around to try to catch tin owl. As she does this, Tin owl swoops in back of her leaving her temporarily confused and trying to figure out where he went. During this moment of confusion, Tin quickly grabs the loop of the apron that's around Mrs. Yoop's neck with his beak and pulls it off.

The shot will end with Mrs. Yoop grabbing Tin owls tail feathers as tin owl flies with the apron in his beak.

I see the shot layed out like this:

The shot opens with a long shot of Mrs. Yoop getting up as tin owl flies past her. In the previous shot, tin girl tells tin owl to get the apron. Still in the long shot, tin owl turns around just as Mrs. Yoop is completely standing with her back to him.

Camera cuts to a close up of the tied bow that secures the apron.

Camera cuts to medium shot of tin hovering and acknowledging what needs to be done.

Camera cuts to a long shot of tin swooping down toward the tied bow.

Camera cuts to a medium shot of tin pulling on one of the strings to untie the bow. As he does this Mrs. Yoop swings around.

Camera cuts to a long shot as she turns. Tin owl turns in the same direction ending up in back of Mrs. Yoop.

Mrs. Yoop stands confused wondering where tin owl went. Tin owl takes advantage of this and grabs the loop around Mrs. Yoop's neck and pulls the apron off. Mrs. Yoop reaches up to grab tin owl but misses. As tin owl flies down in front of her, Mrs. Yoop reaches out and grabs his tail feathers.

In the next sequence, strawbear jumps onto Mrs. Yoop's leg and trips her which causes her to let tin owl go with the apron.
I plan to use the first pose of Mrs. Yoop as the last pose in this shot.

I'm using mostly all of the original animation. I'm just adding a bit more. I have to. The original shot does not show tin owl removing the apron.

The animation part I think will be relatively easy but I have to create a bow tie for the apron that has to be rigged to untie. I'm not sure how hard this will be to do. ANY help here would be greatly appreciated.

If I can get my printer hooked up, I'll post my storyboard. Bear in mind it's quick chicken scratch LOL.

I'm going to try my best to get this done by Sunday. My freest time is the weekend.

What do you think?

that's a clean-up "shot"? that's a clean-up sequence!

I can't quite follow it from the text description so I dont' have much to suggest yet.

George, my goodness man, just get Tin Owl to pull off the apron. I can give you another "cleanup" shot if this one is giving fits. The Edit for this sequence is already done!

No fits Martin, I just want to do a good job.

I know it sounds like a lot but it's really not. You'll see when I'm done.
