Hi all ,
While using .jpg maps in the textures. The .jpg image is getting horribly compressed while coming out of 3dpainter. Are you facing the same problem? Also, is there any way to set the .jpg compression quality while saving the map in 3dpainter?

Hi Satyajit,
3DPainter uses by default a quality setting of 75% (0% is lowest quality, 100% is highest). This should be 'well enough' for photographic content, but might give artifacts for other types of content. I will add an option in the next update to set the jpeg quality. Still, I would suggest using one of the lossless image types (like png or tga) as jpeg uses lossy compression (and thus offers visual quality for compression purposes).
Best regards,
Filip

Thank you Filip.
I don't like to use jpgs. But in large maps jpgs are friendly to my graphics card and memory. It'd be a welcome addition. I always use jpgs at 100%. And most of my maps are painted.

You should try PNG....the sizes are comparable to jpgs with better quality.
