I have been trying to find out more about the new features added to HAMR and installed the latest version but could not get any sample files,
when I click on those sample files, it hung.

Anyone please help.

Well I would have responded sooner, but I just got an email notification today about your post.

Are you using IE? Are you on a PC? Last I checked, HAMR only works with IE on a PC.
Do you have the web browser plugin installed?

Can you open a simple project file (prj) which has only one chor containing a single model? Try that first.
Then try another simple test. Make a cube in AM and export it as a prjb using HAMR, and see if you can view that in the HAMR viewer. To export a HAMR project, right-click on the Project (the top most) folder in the PWS and choose Export -> Project as HAMR Binary.
Then try the same thing with a slightly more complex model, but with NO decals or materials.
Then try it on a model with decals.
After you get the hang of it, you can try animating something and see how that works.
Then after that, you can try advanced stuff like poses and stuff.

It has been awhile since I did anything with HAMR. I have some sample files HERE you can download and try. They worked the last time I viewed them. "test2" and "test3" have regular project files you can open in AM (The "hamr.html" page might be useful too.).

Also, here's a javascript utility that generates a web page for you and makes it easier to experiment with different HAMR configuration options. It should be able to load both "prj" files and "prjb" files. The Configurator
You can read about it in this thread. http://www.hash.com/forums/index.php?showt...24450&st=15

You can also try downloading some of the projects posted by users to the HAMR forum. Most of them seem to be zip files and HTML files though. Some of the zip files might be useful IF they include a prj file instead of a prjb file. A prjb file is a binary file that protects the content from being copied or opened in AM, so it probably won't be of much use to you.

If you have any specific questions, I'll try to answer them. But I can't answer any questions like, "when I try to load xxx project, it hangs" That's beyond my level of expertise.

Thanks, I think something is wrong with my IE, every time I click on those links it hang ( Not responding ).

I launch hamr and able to open a file but have not configure IE to do the same yet, I shall upgrade my copy of AM for this feature now.
It has been more than a year since the last time I do anything with AM due to my previous job and I am back to reintroduce this hamr to my clients
for e-book and e-publishing.

Great job with the development guys!

Filip, if you are able to used HAMRViewer okay, but not able to use WebHAMR, this usually points to an IE problem. There are some versions of IE out there that had problems and will not work with WebHAMR. I suggest you update your IE to the current MS version and try again. I verified that the HAMR web site examples still work when I acess them.

Thanks, I have to turn off "Internet Protection Mode" in order to be able to open webhamr.

I'd rather tell my user to install the independant viewer, works like a charm, no fuss over IE.
