This is probably a FAQ, but I did a search of the forums archives and didn't see anything.

When I make an animated decal out of a Quicktime movie file or sequence of .TGA files, it is about 25% too bright. If I use one of the .TGA files or the QT file as a non-animated decal, it works perfectly. I am pasting them onto a rectangular flat surface to do some compositing with an othoganal camera. The surface with the decal is made flat shaded, meaning it shows up at its actual color and lights don't affect it.

1) Is there a reason for this?

2) Is there anything I can do to fix it?
