Sometimes when I make a change to an svn file, I go to look for it in windows explorer and there are no files marked with a red exclamation mark. But if I click right into the files folder, I find the actual file has got the mark. Then it's as if svn becomes refreshed and the whole path becomes marked like it should be.
I'm not sure that makes sense, but if anyone has a solution I'd appreciate it.

I don't have a solution but I would like to add my voice to Ken's that I too experienced the same.

I wonder if it has anything to do with your tortoise settings (rt click explorer - select Tortoise/ settings)

I actually have mine set to not display the icon overlays as it bogs down the display of files/folders in explorer or dialogs - my status cache is set to none - (not shown in the image)

I haven't changed any settings and it used to work ok. I wonder if it's that the folder is now so big that it's taking longer to track down the modified files? My hard drive is grinding away when ever I explore the svn folder.....maybe it just needs time to catch up.

I've gotten into the habit of always clicking on another folder above or below, which refreshes Explorer and it shows up.

Exactly why I turned it all off - takes too long
