Hi,
sorry about the delay, but I have been in my cottage for a few days with a bad internet connection, but here it comes again.

Is that an hourglass? I'd exaggerate the "point at the hourglass" motion(hold it up&out a little farther and make the point a little snappier) and "hold" it a little longer

Hi Ulrika,

here are the notes....

As Robert talks about these arcs in the main poses, I'm thinking that the auto hips pose will help in giving you this arc.
Ullis
Thanks Robert for the instructional video, it makes it fun to try to improve the animation. Here comes the next take.

Hi Ulrika,

The ending is working well, we just need to get the timing on the beginning. Here are some notes...

2_01_85_take2commentsIMAG0023mp4.mov

In the video I also talked about adding the winkies around him. Use the Generic Winkie and and just use enough to place the first row of winkies you see in the drawing...

http://www.hash.com/forums/index.php?s=&am...st&p=250515

make one action that puts their arms down to their side and has them slightly bouncing to the beat and put that on the winkies. Dont' worry about the hands-on-the-hips part, we'll do that later.

thanks!

Ullis
Hi,
I would like to have your comments on the Winkie and the Skinny farmer before I go on here. The act I did for the Winkie did not suit the fat Farmhand. Am I supposed to make several winkies of this winkie kind or I should I mix with the fat Farmhands kind? Iīm having serious quicktime problems and I donīt know where that strange sound comes from...

Thank you,

I like what you're doing Ulrika. I think you mean the Skinny Farmhand, yes? I agree with you, the Winkies shouldn't move like Farmhand not only because it doesn't suit him, but you don't want to take the focus away from Skinny by making everyone in the scene move the same way.

Good catch smile.gif
Ullis
Thank you Dhar for the nice words, but I do mean the Fat Farmhand. He is not visible in this render but he stands at the empty space behind Skinny Farmer with his arms straight out waiting to do something. I agree with you that the scene would loose some interest if they all copied Skinny Farmer....

Hi Ulrika,

I did a bit of tweaking; here are some notes about it and answers to your questions...

I could not resist doing the act for Fat Farmhand, I hope I have not forgotten any of your other remarks, Robert, for the two others. I look forward to your comments about how to improve the scene,

Hey, Ullrika, the Skinny Farmhand with the hourglass looks real good! Go ahead and add the mouth motion to him.

Our bystanders are still bouncing too much, however.

How about this idea...

They don't bounce at all and their hands are behind their backs until they join in to sing. THEN they go to hands-on-hips and bounce to the beat (very small bounces).

And that would probably eliminate the side to side shift.

lets try that.

thanks!

Robert, I am a little uncertain about the winkies acting. I have just done a sketch of the moves, to know if this is more like what you had in mind? Should the Fat Farmhand also have his hands at his back and move less?

Hi Ullrika, let's make it much smaller...

Once you get their hands on their hips you'll need to constraint them to the hip bone so they look like they are solidly placed there and not wandering.

I think that will mostly work. The action seems to be a few frames late after the sound.

There should probably be a stronger mouth-open movement on "running"

thanks!

Hi Ulrika,

welcome back!

Glad Nyår!

When I update the Sc85 folder I don't get your new chor and when I load the PRJ it's looking for an action that isn't committed yet. Could you check and make sure all your new work is committed and then I can take a good look at this.

thanks!
robcat2075
Hi Ullrika,

Here you go...

we just need to tame the motion of the winkies...
