I thought I would finall take the time to get the input of my fellow Hash users (especially those who use Macs) to see if some of the "issues" I've learned to live with in AM are normal......

At start up, ever since I moved to OSX, AM has no start up screen(you know, ususally a pic of the version of the disk you are using comes up). No big deal cause it still opens just thought it was strange.

Been having an issue with AM's windows and tool bars as well. Every so often if I click from one window to a tool bar or the pose sliders or project workspace it clicks "through" the window and drops me on my desktop and I usually just cmd tab back in

When rendering and the render completes the render window always artifacts and shows the window below through the artifacts.

When selecting certain bones in a model while posing, the geom will artifact so long as that bone is selected.(kinda annoying when its a face bone and you can see what moving)

Now none of these issues are that much of a hinderance but I just wanted to see If these are things I just have to accept(which I have been), or are there fixes I haven't found.

No startup screen for me, either and I'm way okay with that, since the application opens up almost immediately.

I've only had the click-through happen with the PWS. Sometimes if I go to double-click a choreography to open it's window, that happens. It's not something I can replicate, though. Only happens once in awhile.

Haven't seen this artifact thing with the render at all.

With the bones are you talking about rotating certain bones in a choreography? I don't think that's a Mac-only thing.

I've been switching back and forth between using A:M in OSX and the Windows version using Parallels. There are some little differences I've noticed going between the two.

The only thing I'd love to see on the Mac side that's currently only on Windows, is the color circle that you get with the cursor when you're rotating a bone, so that you can tell which axis you're rotating. That's a very useful thing.

Okay now I don't feel as bad. The click to the desktop thing happens too when I do a multipass render(green plus) and then go to turn it off. That one is like 80% of the time

I think I have that... EX: I select a bone hit ® or select rotate tool there is a yellow circle for the rotate area and inside that circle are three more arranged on axis (Y,X,Z) green, red, and blue. Or do you mean something else (sorry I'm at work cant do a pic to better demonstrate)

Here's what I mean. Mac on the left, Windows on the right. See the nifty little green circle that appears with the cursor? It changes color based on which axis you're using.

Now that is cool. Sometimes it hurts to be a mac user, but i wouldn't trade over for the world!!
