there might be some leakage by the chin or "maybe it just rolled down there

Not bad, John, but I'm pretty sure that I can only achieve the look that I am after by doing it all by hand. Also, to prevent the fluid from falling through the surface I think that I would have to make the interior of the mouth a very dense mesh, which is out of the question.
