This is just a thread starter. I'll play with the keyframes to get the timing right. But that's after I watch Disney's The Jungle Book 40th Anniversary Platinum Edition DVD that I bought today biggrin.gif

EDIT: Corrected scene and movie number - sorry

What happened to the road?

I can't get enough of that Jungle Book movie. What a treat.

OK, I received the chor just the way it is, no road, no null. There was no road in the Objects folder either. If you would please put the road back in there and let me know so I can update my files.

In the meantime, here's an update on the timing. It looks pretty tight, but not until I can get secondary movements that I'll be able to actually feel the timing.
robcat2075
I haven't forgotten this one. There's something about the initial pose that i need to figure out.
robcat2075
Ok, update your scene folder and your set_chors folder, there's definitely a "TemporaryRoad" there now.

-I noticed your PRJ was set to 30fps, I've changed it to 24, but that's why most of your keyframes aren't on frames now.

- I made a mistake in length of this shot, it's now about 1 second shorter than before to keep from slopping into Sc23 which you've already animated. That's going to be tight, but we needed to make some action happen quicker anyway. With that in mind...here are some new thoughts on blocking this out:

-on the soundtrack it may seem that woot continues singing too long; I'll snip that to match your animation after you're done with the shot.
Dhar
Thanks for the much needed detail on the timing. This looks like it just might work.

Hi Dhar,

The poses look promising; there are things we'll want to adjust, but before that....

The frame range should go from 100 to 150, (that's what comes up when I load the chor I committed) 167 is too long.

Can you shave it to fit in that span?

thanks!
Dhar
I moved SC's keyframes so that they're within the frame range.

What is it about the poses? huh.gif

Great , it can be done.

I don't have time to jump in on this one yet, so on the first pose of SC and TM can you think of something that looks like the moment just before they realize Woot has made a mistake? In the pose they have now the look concerned already.

I don't have a specific idea yet, but maybe you do!

thanks!
Dhar
Alright, I'll sleep on it.
Dhar
How about this pose of "unsure" and then they go into the realization/horror pose?

robcat2075
Their attention should start on Woot, since he's been singing the solo up until this shot.

I see them as starting with a satisfied look (which is immediately demolished, of course, as it hits them that he hasn't sung his line right)

The Pose Police might take away our learner's permit for doing this but hands-behind-the-back would be a reliable solution in this case.

Scarecrow would mirror the pose and he and tinman would be like parentheses around Woot like so...

or the opposite might work too...

Finally found some time to get back to this. I have a pretty good idea how I want to exaggerate some poses, but let me know if this is closer to what you're looking for smile.gif

Hi Dhar,

Sorry i didn't get to this sooner.... It looks good, here are the notes...

thanks!
Dhar
Thanks for the notes Robert. I'll get on it right away. :::snicker - Cowboys fan - snicker, snicker:::

Update: I decided to edit this post and add the work here. I had fun animating their facial expressions, and I've taken the liberty to try my hands at squetch animation.

Please tell me your thoughts

You know you've used squash and stretch effectively when you can't see it. Good job!!

Getting better.... here are the notes...

Hmm.........What's going on with TW's shoulder pads? Did you use arm squetch? Is that what is causing that?
Dhar
Arm squetch did not cause that. I used my "artistic license" and animated the pads individually to loosen things up. I guess I'm in a cartoony mood after watching Ratatouille DVD last night biggrin.gif

I liked it - pretty funny
robcat2075
That's working real good Dhar!

I like the comedy shoulder pads. Joan crawford would be jealous

When we we get this set of shots leading up to the parade done we'll come back to add the Winkies. They will need to gradually accumulate from shot to shot.

So put this one in the fridge and make a note that you'll be returning to it.

thanks! I'll look for a new shot for you.
