Having trouble installing AM Paint on Vista Laptop (PC based) not mac. Have tryed several times of uninstalling and reinstalling even disabled virus etc.etc.. . its constantly getting stuck on the loading screen (graphic box with name and company) with a timer. before giving out machine ID etc.. Installed on XP Pro fine.

This is most likely a problem with the graphics drivers of your laptop. Do you have the latest drivers for your graphics card? The drivers on the Vista DVD are not quite up to date. You can find new ones on the site of the company that made your laptop or on the site of the company that made the graphics card (NVidia or ATI). A few months ago, there was another user that had the same problem with his Vista PC and updating the drivers fixed it.
