We're creating the TWO Movie poster for the One Sheet. A typical movie poster would have "Produced By:," "Written By:," "Directed By:," "Music By:," plus the names of the main actors. I'm not sure that's appropriate in a semi-volunteer project like this...
The first line is easy: An A:M Films Production of "Tin Woodman of Oz"
In our case, we should highlight major time and effort contributors rather than actors or management. Who should get their name on this poster, (I have a few names in mind but I'm asking you)? What would be their titles? (Costumes, Lighting, Layout, Story)?

I know I haven't been involved with TWO, but even if I had been (and wish I had been good enough to participate) my opinion would be the same.
In the case of a movie poster, you can't list every single person who has worked on a film, but what you could do is post the lead of each area. For instance, (I am not sure what official designations you have), you could list Producer, Director, Lighting Supervisor, Music Supervisor, Special F/X Supervisor, etc.
Then in the credits of the movie, you could list all those who were involved in the project and what their respective roles were.
Just a suggestion...

Maybe ask Robert Taylor if you wants his name down for Antmatics other than that I don't really know If only one person wrote the script or if it was a joint effort? But I would suggest maybe after the main players like you mention adding
Created by the AM Community which covers all of us so no one feels left out. Unless you want to make this double sided and list Everone

Hmmm... What would the cut-off point be? I think we'd have at least 50 that did a scene or a major model and maybe 100 total... But I like the idea. Would we do the same thing for the One Sheet and the poster?
Other ideas?

Not that I really know anything about this kind of thing.. I just googled "movie poster" + the animated movies I could think of.. to see what kind of information they provide. Most only give the the distributor/producers and the major voice talent used and some catchy phrase. Oh, and the "From the creators of --input famous movie plug here, just in case you don't know who we are yet!--".
Seems additional props are only common on the non-animated movies. I wounder why that is. Is it because there are to many people involved to be listed for them as well, or that there could be 3 or 4 people filling a specific role throughout the creation of the movie?

I think you should just put in the "main jobs" like Producer/Director/Writer etc. There are too many others and someone is always gong to be left out. If they want to know the other names, they can look at the movie credits/website/forum.
Maybe a sepcial page could be put on the Wiki (I think there already is) with all the names and just put a link to it.

I agree that everyone needs to be listed in the movie's credits.
Why I'm asking about the poster is that most people think they know what a movie poster looks like... It's rectangular, with a compelling image, the movie's title across the top, and some small, thin print at the bottom. I'm trying to figure out what our small, thin print at the bottom should say... I don't want to list my name more than once, and I want to recognize people who are major contributors regardless of whether their title is something familiar. For example, this movie's costumes are mostly by "Nancy Gormezano;" the music is by "Chris Caouette;" and the songs are by "Niels Krook." "Robert Holmen" serves as an Animation Supervisor on a few sequences. The movie is being edited by "Dylan Perry;" lit mostly by "Stian Wahlvaag;" and a lot of the Layout is by "Ken Heslip."

So long as Im listed, I dont care.

Hey, you KNOW you couldnt have finished the movie without me!

Kidding!
I like Martins list. I think Dhar belongs in there, maybe along with Robert on Animation Supervision? David and Mark with Rigging come to mind. Yves for lighting? (I know more are on lighting, but... Hes the only one who I could remember.)
::Shrug:: I owe so much to so many on this team for helping me do my part. How can I help pick em out?

(Sorry about the lack of the single version of ", my computers screwy...)

For the movie poster, a catchy phrase about the film and the studio that made it are about all that is needed really...
here is an example.
I say name the movie division of Hash and put it on there with a catch phrase. Simple, to the point.
How about "Kitchen Table Films" as a movie division? I don't have anything for a catch phrase at the moment...I'm sure there are plenty of good ideas amongst the group though.
It would be cool if we could get a copy of the poster...using Cafe Press, it would be cheap to set up.

EDIT
--------------------
I just realized that the film division is already named, A:M Films...I need to wake up, I guess.

"Your Old Friends In A New Adventure"
The amount of TWO that I've supervised is so small that I don't think I merit a "Supervision" credit.
I'd say mention everyone or no one. If you want to mention everyone, that's what they make those skinny movie poster fonts for. You could make it really skinny for the people who animated just one scene or just made one prop:
For example for animation you could group it like this:
ANIMATED BY (people who did a whole sequence) with (people who did several shots) and additional animation by (people who did one shot or a part of one shot)
There are probably similar tiers for modeling and texturing
But where will this poster actually be used, though? We're not expecting any theatrical distribution... Where would anyone see this poster?

This is primarily for the One Sheet but, of course, we'll have a poster hanging in our MIPCOM booth, and our distributor (?) will want a poster for their tradeshows and journals.

You might as well mention Animation:Master also, like "Filmed Entirely In Animation:Master" or something like that, so you advertise the program at the same time, killing two birds with one stone, and put the url www.hash.com at the bottom.

It's a little wordy for just a catch phrase. If you're having trouble choosing, maybe a vote would narrow it down. My instinct would be to at least knock off the "A rusty love tale" as it feels "stuck on the end". I'm sure it might be used some where else more effectively.
