Here are links to the v15.0 Alpha Installer. --
A sample project and tutorial on the new fluids can be found in this
thread.
Make sure when you report bugs to
A:M Reports, that you pick the v15 project in the upper right.

It works It works It works Fluid pouring out in tut project about 5-6 sec per frame at low res on Pent 4 @ 1.7 First 75 frames in about 6 minutes
Here is the firsrt 150 frames about 20 minutes
Click to view attachmentjust tried a simple test not the tut and saw how the collisions whip the fluid blobbies

Wow! This is far easier to use than I was expecting.
Congratulations Stevie W. and all at Hash Inc.!
Fluids are far faster than blobbies ever were. Last time I tried blobbies I thought would be my last. Slow as molasses. Fluids are amazingly fast for what they are.
First test:
Click to view attachmentThis 4 second, single pass render took about an hour. It started out rendering 1 frame every 2 seconds but that had climbed to 1 frame every 28 seconds by the end. This seems to be due to losing alot of the particles more than the increase in their numbers. I allowed the fluid to build up in the cup for one second before tipping it. Many of the blobbies burst through the walls of the cup and that is what has made the puddle on the left. I don't know if extra geometry will keep that in check or whether one of the fluid properties will take care of it.
I'm impressed and look forward to seeing how this develops!

I haven't had to install the CD version in 7 years (I've got the hasp) and I no longer have my original manual. Will can your or Steve help me out with a Serial Number?
It's OK - I'm good.

I like the fountain... but the best one is thom taking a bath... that is amazing...
Of course you can simulate other fluids by setting the properties right... only thing it isnt capable of are gases... but it is called "Fluids" not gasses...

Very nice example. This new feature is looking pretty darn dope if you know what I mean.
That white line along the bottom edge of the upper liquid: is that due to surface tension?

No no, the surface properties I already knew. What I was pointing out was the odd highlight on the underside of the liquid.
Click to view attachmentMost of the liquid in the image looks to be acting under correct tension along the surface of each droplet, but the area around the highlight appears to have some odd form. It almost looks as if it were trying to keep a close differential along the surface of the ground, rather than keep tension on the droplet. It's easier to see in the diagram.
Click to view attachmentHighlights on droplets with surface tension would only appear in one visible area along to top of the droplet, while the apparent shape would have two highlights; one along the top like the surface tension droplet, and one on the lower edge. This is what I'm seeing. That or it's a shading error.

The fluid looks great, but can someone explain the physics of how that cup holds that much water!?!?
