Does anyone else think TinGirl looks as drab as a wet weekend? I put together a quick color scheme on my local copy. What do you think? Do the colors look ok or not? I figure blue would go well with the tin skin.
Dhar
I'm wondering if the drab look wasn't intentional - the fact that she's Mrs. Yoops prisoner wouldn't make for a cheerful mood. Other than that, I think your rendition looks very nice and gives life to Tingirl smile.gif
KenH
Thanks Dhar! I don't think she can be Queen in grey (that'd be a crime against Nancy biggrin.gif).....or maybe she'll be painted for that.

Love the model, it looks excellent.

Though the color puts me off a bit. Her hair has a, from what my not-so-refined-color-view can see, much warmer color than her dress, which could go both ways. It could be a good thing, prehaps the warmer hair shows that her spirits are up, even though she is in fact captured, which is symbolised by her clothing... I don't know, I'm no expert. xP

Hi - I like her hair color - very pretty - the blue could work, but maybe perhaps more laverderish ? - (do not like the green bow)

Have you tried pink? pinkish dress - she is a girly-girl, ya know. Alas, twas a lost opportunity on Nimmie (brown? what a hag)

Perhaps my torturing of tinman (when he was thinking of joining the circus) experiments might provide some color schemes - she needs embossing as well.
Raffi
I think the hair color is great! It's copper, copper is metal, perfect!

The dress, I think, should be much lighter in color, a very light blue, close to silver, still conveying the impression of metal a bit more. Or even better maybe Nancy's suggestion with pink. That might look even better. Just a touch of pink shine in silver?
Raffi
Hi together,
I feel a bit sorry that the good apprach of Ken was not adopted. I think TinGirl could really use some (decent) color. At least her hair should be of different color.
KenH
I was thinking....it might be cool if she's grey for most of the film and then when she gets half the heart from Tinman and discovers love, she becomes colorized.

Great visual clue.

Grey of course doesn't sound good to me - feel it will look "off", out of place just like she looks now.

But a color/costume change from something looking more cinderella servant-ly to cinderella princess-ly sounds interesting.

TinGurl gets gurly.

A Blue Pink Lavendarish look for her daily drudge look

And she comes with a pose slider for when "Love Happens".

Her Heart turns to Gold & she breaks out in bumps.

Get her while she's hot. Just uploaded to svn
KenH
Much better! Are her legs and hands using a similar material to Tinmans...ie are they as reflective. They look greyer in that shot.

Edit: On second thoughts, maybe we don't want her legs too reflective! tongue.gif
Dhar
Oh wow! If you put both those pictures next to each other and cross your eyes, the design becomes 3d blink.gif

Nice work, as always, Nance.

Actually her skin is pinker & yes less reflective (about 25% compared to tinman at 60%). I went back & forth on her skin coloring.

Maybe refelctivity should be increased some - but I don't think 60% - I thought the pink made her more feminine.

Looks great Nancy.
KenH
Yes, I think either of those is better. Nice work!

Tin Girl looks so graceful balancing on one foot like that. Imagining myself in a pose like that brings the word "oafish" to mind. She looks great, Nancy.
Jeetman
WOW! She looks great!! I love the design texture and the colors. Great job Nancy!!!!

I just posted a shot with her in it using the old textures. Ken suggested I updated her. After seeing her new look, I'm going to update Tin girl right now!!!
