This is the second half of 2_02, when they're in the thicket.

Wow, that looks great!

This is from the story where Scarecrow is behind them pretending to be attacked by vines.

Hmmm...What I'm noticing is that it appears to me that Woot is missing the fabric material on his arms (should look the same as his legs) - I believe that I've also noticed this on other renders (not all) - Did someone delete it off his arms on purpose or is something else amiss?

I believe (not sure) this is how I left him last: (see Woot tartan version on left):

I've also noticed his legs flashing in some of the rendered WIP scenes - that darktree material on his legs and arms should probably be changed to a decal at some point - seems silly to have a material there. I was reluctant to change that when I was texturing him, as I did not want to offend whoever put the material there in the first place any more than I had already.

It appears that some tests of SSS were made with Woot. The group with the material is still there, it's just being overwritten by an SSS group that the arms were included in.

Don't look at me, I didn't do it. smile.gif

I did the original textures on Woot. These textures meant nothing, they were only there to give color and ideas for texturing. Feel free to change it, I'm flexible. wink.gif

Well since someone else is now monkeying with the kid, I will leave it up to them to fix.

Also - I like the ground texture very much - but it's repetitive nature is a little obvious- especially in a still - not sure if that will be obvious in the movie. Could also use some depth to it (bump?, normal map?) maybe? Might be able to camouflage the repetitiveness by applying a random decal of some type over the ground (with some percentage <100) - to introduce more variation in color & pattern.

Nice Mark! I didn't really notice the repeating ground till Nancy said it. Even still, it's not bad....there's just one distinctive red leaf in there that gives it away I think.

Nancy: Woot has been bare armed as long as I've been animating him from what I remember. I prefer the covered arms myself.

I'll see what I can do with randomizing the ground pattern. I also want to add a hair material, that will cover it up some as well..

Fixed the arm material, it will render now Nancy.

Here's an update.
