Very nice.
May I ask how long did they take to render?
mtpeak2
Jun 29 2007, 04:37 AM
The longest one took 3 hrs @ 9 passes.
I want to render Nimmies house and the Tin Castle sets, but ran into problems at that resolution. Martin's taking care of it.
Thanks Martin for spending your day trying to track down the problems and fixing them.

Truly beautiful work by the folks working on TWO!

Thanks, there's still some texturing I want to add to these sets, so they're not quite done yet.

Good idea. These and more should be put on the wiki for people to download.

I've been working on it. I've been running into problems with rendering some of the sets at hi-res, lots of hair, and reflections with hair is another story. I've been rendering different set for 3 or 4 days now. I'm trying to track down an inconsistancy in hair rendering between v13 and 14. I've been driving Martin nuts the last few days, he's fixed a few already, but I may have another one for him to track down.

Winkieville (1280 X800)
Design and modeling by Fabrice Fave. Composition by Mark Skodacek.
Fab or Mark - what is that dark corner in the grass in the upper right corner? Is that a peaked control point? Is it supposed to be there?

It looks like a peaked cp. I'll check it out.
Thanks for getting those render problems fixed.

This is what it was suppose to look like.
I see light lists have been added, the base lighting will have to bee adjusted if they are going to remain.

I think it's fairly clear these are mainly WIP wallpapers for anyone who wants early ones. Most likely the final ones will be put on the WIKI for more general public consumption. In saying all that, it makes me think it might be time for a trailer soon....

A promotional piece should be more polished.
Who's going to do that, Paul?
Paul Forwood
Jul 10 2007, 06:16 AM
Well, you rendered them. Couldn't you at least have ensured that the beard was in position before rendering a piece that you intended to use to promote TWO?
Perhaps I am misunderstanding your interpretation of "wallpaper".
Oh, well. I'll keep my opinions to myself.

Hoo Hoo - I like it. I think the rugged, almost wood like surface of KuKlips face is very interesting and I also like the also rugged wirey-ness of his beard. May not be what someone intended ? - but I like it.
The Magic Glue bottle needs texturing (duh). Can I do it at some point? Unless it is intentional for it to look like an Elmer's White glue bottle? (Is funny, if it is)

Like what Nancy said, I think the workshop image looks fine save for the Elmer's glue.
Click to view attachmentMartin, your schedule must be packed to the rafters. How on Earth do you find time to render these shots?

Funnneee Funnneee - Looks like Matt should do the glue bottle

(Quick! Someone call Elmer's to see if we can get some product placement funds...Hmmm...How about some antique Pepsi tin cans strategically placed about as well?)

We are making the Tin Woodman of Oz movie one frame at a time.
The movie is almost done!
You can read more about the project, the movie and what went into creating it on
The TWO wiki.
There are a lot more images to see there too!
