I'm not sure about other characters but when Woot's arms are in IK, there are bad targeting issues. This was obviously a rig change since the animations were originally created. It's easy to make happen - just put Woot's arms in IK and move the hand back toward the body... But if you need a sample chor, I'll provide one.

BTW, David, you're doing a GREAT job!

Hi David,

I have attached a project file, which I had saved in the folder along with 1_01_14. Just play the action. It behaves poorly from frame 46 on. If it is actually the IK solver misbehaving, maybe you could pare it down to a simpler example than the entire Squetch rig.

Thanks,
Bob

On the kinematic constraint for the IK chain, support limits and damping is set to ON. When this is turned off, the problem goes away.

I remember some time ago, David And I had a discussion about this being on/off, but I don't remember why we had the conversation. I believe it had something to do with the forearm twisting and the limb bowing.

This should be turned off in all the models.

The kinematic setting came up when Woot's arms needed resizing, I'm not sure if that was eventually used in animation or not. I reset Woot's arm kinematic constraints to have the "Support Limits/Damping" off...it seems to fix the problem, give it a try. Thanks for tracking that down, Mark!

D'oh! I updated Woot, thought I messed up, reverted Woot, then updated him again. If you had a problem, try re-downloading him now. Sorry about that.

That explains why Nimmie has the same problem, she has the pose to resize the arms as well. I remember now, when using the arm scale fix, that need to be on or else the hand controller was out of position.

Thanks Mark and David.
