Hi there,

I am think of getting A:M paint but first i just want to know what you guys think.

Would you have it raver than a A:M training video?

Oh no....not an either or question! I would say both....AM training vids let you make things worth texturing while AM Paint puts some fun into texturing....and it's got lots more where that came from in the future.
Rodney
Tough decision Elliot?

It's just a $99 freebie... no pressure! wink.gif

...of course you can still take what's behind door number three and pass A:M Paint on to some other lucky raffle winner.

I have added a poll so please use that instead of replying.
Thank you

I voted for the SIGGRAPH video because:

1) Its cheaper for me. wink.gif
2) There's nothing quite like watching other people use A:M
3) It helps to know the basics before moving on to the advanced

In my opinion A:M Paint is the better deal but it might not be the best choice.
Only you can determine that.

If you learn and use A:M paint you'll be using it well past the shelf life of the SIGGRAPH DVD.
Once most people watch the DVDs a few times they usually put it on the shelf.

Decisions... decisions...

It's a tough one -

A:M Paint is probably something that you won't be using yet, but is a brilliant addition to A:M, and has great support, and has long term value.

A training DVD is something you can probably use now, and the knowledge obtained has long term value.

I voted for A:M Paint - that's what I spent my money on first up. Now I'm buying training DVDs.

Any decision is good.

A:M paint????
It was better than gremlins and better than E.T.smile.gif

DEpends on the user.

A newer user should invest in training. An advanced user might want the additional funcionality that AMPaint offers.

It looks like Elliot is going to take the advice of his lifeline poll.
He is opting for A:M Paint. smile.gif

Excellent decision.
