hi,

how to get SSS to work? the renderer renders the SSS group black! tried with all kinds of lights (bulbs, suns, kliegs), no changes, only black!
(multithreading is set to 1 thread)

Hey Willi,

Make sure the group is the last group in the list. So that no overlapping groups hit it. If they do you'll get issues. Make sure no materials are on the group as well. That'll cause problems to.

Hope that helps.. thats all I can think of at the moment.

thanks for the hints.

yes that was the failure. always tested with the region render. render to file works fine. but itīs a bit tricky to find out the right rgb values for the sss colours.
but it should also work with the region render tool for tweaking the right sss values.
z-buffer lights with shadows gave me strange shadow artefacts, only raytraced shadows work fine with sss.
