Here are links to the v14.0 Beta Installer.

Not much change since last weeks last Alpha Release, but we are now heading into the Beta cycle.

Windows: OSX (Universal Binary): Fixes since the last release:
  • 0004343: [Images/Animations] Rotoscopes updated to use new ClipProperty features (Noel)

Make sure when you report bugs to A:M Reports, that you pick the v14 project in the upper right.

Anyone else having render issues? It's not "reproducable" for me, so I can't report it, but it basically goes in a pattern of:

Frame1: 30sec
Frame2: 30sec
Frame3: 30sec
Frame4: 240sec
Frame5: 30sec
Frame6: 30sec
Frame7: 30sec
Frame8: 30sec
Frame9: 240sec
Frame10: 30sec
etc.

The pattern isn't strict. It's just like some frames take a bit longer. (Everything, rendering patches, freeing memory, all the same, just multiplied.)

Anyone else?

Hmmm. That's a bit worying, Daniel!
I only tested the performance on one simple project and the results are as follows:

A:M14Alpha6: 31 frames at low res took 24 seconds to render.
A:M14Beta: 31 frames at low res took 19 seconds to render.

This wasn't a tough test at all so it doesn't really prove anything.
What I did notice, which was out of the ordinary, was that when I booted A:M14Beta for the first time the "Please Wait" graphic stayed on screen for about 10 minutes before the splash screen appeared. Normally this all happens in about 5 seconds. The second time that I ran A:M14Beta it started in a matter of seconds.

I'm not certain my problem has anything to do with A:M, but more with my computers. All my systems do this, but then... I've set them all up very similarly.
