Just posting a notice that I am now going to start making texture cleanup mods to The Yoopster. As well as explore different changes for mood swings as well as a new dress for her nightclub singing and dancing act: think Diana Ross & Gypsy Rose Lee Strip tease.

I've just downloaded the most recent Yoop off the svn - looks like Ken Heslip made some really terrific FABULOUS changes !!!! and added ear bones, phonemes, distortion poses, FACE mods? - great, great job.

Please anyone with intentions to make other mods, please, please, let's coordinate. (poor Noel, he needs his sleep, new baby and all that)

Check out a preliminary test version (ignore lousy lipsync) of Nightclub act dress I'm considering (unfortunately the full length gown hides her shapely lovely legs):

The eyes are the first to go...

Not sure what problem could be - nothing strange happened when I view ... but then I'm not as old as you - or are you saying you blacked out when you heard the voice? That I could understand.

Wow Nancy! I love the peacock feathers!

How do you do it? You've textured 3 models while I've been pluggin' away at one!

Wow wow wow!

Deliciously delectable! Can we get a sequened version to? I'll volunterr to figure out how to do the effect if you're game for it?

Sparkles on Hot Pink and Orange would be FABULOUS!

or... I mean.. well uhhh. one of the guys down at the gym .. said it would be, not ... sure ... which guy... I was UHHH... busy..

yeah! busy .. ummm ... Benchpressing!.. yeah thats it.

So uh.. just make her plain and nothing to fancy, cause we manly men... don't like bright colors.. or .. uh.. She looks good Nancy. really Keep up the good work.

maybe a little purple and lime green ensemble with some fuschia thrown it ;-)

And how is it you can throw together a Vogue pose with expression or a dance sequence so quick?

Sequins are an excellent idea ! Go for it. Sequins are a requirement for any Dreamgirl's arsenal!

What I really would like to figure out would be the best way to be able to have her remove garments (cape, apron, dress) and be able to keep it to only 1 model for Yoop. I eventually think she should get down to her dainties. That would require modeling/rigging changes - so I don't think that's likely. Have to see what evolves with the "Lonely" song/dance sequence, and how ambitious things get.

I think I have a nice large feathered fan for her to use as a prop, and of course the obligatory pole? Not that I have ever done any pole dancing - so I really don't know what I'm talking about here. Maybe that's not classy enough for this broad.

In my day, we only used large feathered fans. Lots. And long white gloves. Gotta have gloves, to flip to the adoring, panting audience.

Struggle struggle struggle struggle

This took much longer than I expected.

The new Basic Mrs Yoop - Pink Lady Mom from Boca Raton - has now been committed. Cleaned up her face textures, modified her basic outfit, added individual poses to change face color (pink to red - works), outfit (pink to red - works), hair color (blue to red - doesn't work), feather length on skirt to go from 0 to 100% (doesn't work).

Unfortunately, as hard as I tried - I still could not get hair color to change via a pose (animated targa sequence), nor be able to change feather length on her skirt - so I put in 2 reports to A:M reports.

Her apron probably should be rigged differently, and the same probably with her cape. They are both a problem for animating. Same with belt.

The model that is committed can only change face color, and dress coloring (along with geometry change poses that Ken Heslip put in). But these images show all the possibilities if the poses would work.

I will probably be making additional models for Yoopadilla - as my next assignment is to animate the "Lonely" song sequence - and she will probably need many more forms (unless I get lazy and poop out). It's just tooo much trouble trying to get these transformations to work via pose sliders.

The symbol on her apron is for BioHazards - Appropriate - doncha think? ... Looks like a stylized "Y" to me.

That stray hair you see is an intermittent abberation.

Wow Nancy, you've really outdone yourself!

Perfectly charming. smile.gif

I love them all but the one on the right is particularly fetching.
I'm not sure if it'll fit into the shapechanging scenes but some of the animal print decals on the Extra DVD could be inspirational.

Keep on doing what you are doing... perfect perfect perfect.

These are terrific, Nancy!
I'd love to see someone put Mrs Yoop through a range of extreme emotions and have her costume change to reflect her moods.

I know you are still working on and making changes to Yoop but,
some files aren't with the current Yoop model.
It asks for bloomers3.tga and nose3.tga.

Thanks.

Thats Awesome Nancy! I love them all.

I've got some pink sequins for you if you want them ;-)

NancyGormezano
Thanks y'all

Thekamps: Did you update from the svn (after last night around 10:30pm pst) ? I just checked...When I bring in my model (locally) & the one that I committed (or think I committed) - I don't get any requests for bloomers3.tga nor nose3.tga - the new model asks for nose4.tga, and doesn't use bloomers3.tga anymore. I created a new folder (maps) under MrsYoop folder, and moved all the required image files to that folder, and deleted the ones that weren't needed anymore. I'm at a loss as to explain why it's looking for those files. I will keep investigating.

Colin: YES - I would love to use some sequins - I think that would look great on her apron - and maybe her tacky cape - which I will post a pic later.

People: ALLLL those looks are (and will be hopefully) possible for MrsYoop using pose sliders - they are currently under Animation Controls/Transformations/ColorTextureOutfit Transforms. They are in addition to the Geometry Transformation Poses that Ken Heslip did. No need to pick your favorite.

AS I said before: Skin color change & clothes change work. Hair color & feather length change don't work yet because of current problems, either dumb user (now who could that be?), or A:M wasn't designed to it - but at one time - changing haircolor - using animated sequence worked - it just seems to not work when changing the frame # via a pose. Feather length is attempting to change % length of the emitter. I thought it would be interesting to have her feathers "pop" into existence - or have the option to have a slight ruffle - see image - % manually set to 40%.

(just noticed - black mark on back of cape - that's her bodice material sticking thru cape - I'd love to get rid of this dumb cape)

Yeah I was thinking the exact same thing when I dinked around with her last week. The cape does nothing for her look and gets in the way on every move she makes.

In fact I did get rid of the cape when I did that pic last week.. I just made it invisible because her ears kept poking through the collar.

You're the person in charge of texturing her Nancy. If you say get rid of it, who can argue ;-)

Besides, it doesn't match any of her clothes anyway. She looks like some whacked out version of Super Nanny (actually could make a funny short smile.gif

Here you go Nancy.. I did it as a material and as a decal. The decal is a little more finetuned. Whichever group you put it on you'll want to use the blin-phong or schlick-phong spec shader on, depending on you preference. The pic is of Blin-phong.

Use it or not.. its all good. creating it gave me a great idea for scales so it was worth it.

Thanks Colin - definitely an interesting look - has lots of possibilities. I'll probably stay away from displacement - not sure about the render hit if any (will change to bump, if it is a problem)

I'm thinking that I might do a variation on Yoop in a form fitting body suit for her "Lonely" song and you might see a sequin variation come up when she is Pink Sequined PussyCat who becomes Black Devil Sequined Leopard Lady.

I am not familiar with those shaders - but thanks for giving me a reason to go explore them. I've never used anything other than standard shader - I get stuck in a rut, so thanks for the tip. I wasn't aware of being able to select shaders on a group basis. Duh. It was probably right there all the time, hidden by my big nose.

cfree68f
OH YEAH! You've got to play with the spec shaders.. they'll add a whole new level of detail to your textures. They can be a bit touchy if you blow out the Intensity, so experiment with default settings and adjust up from there.

I like the sound of all the outfits you describe. Yoop will end being the most interesting character in the whole movie ;-) displacement or bump isn't a biggy.. I had bump at first. the only difference you'll see is that the holes in the sequins will show some spec on bump, but thats small. The whole material could be scaled down a bit to, but I thought the bigger scalier look was neat as well.

let me know if you have any questions on the sequins.
