I had some trouble playing this MOV, is there a special type of codec or something i need for it?

You will need the Techsmith Codec (ensharpen). don't have the link handy, but it's on the forum.

I also have problems viewing the Tech Talk movies. It all starts out just fine and then this error pops up and QT closes:
