There is a report (4118) of the middle finger of the hand gizmo not updating with out a space bar.
I would treat it as a bug, but since the other fingers work I'm assuming it is a rigging problem.
Could one of the TWO rigging specialists take a look.

I'll have the reporter add info here about how to repeat this.

Thanks

The problem is in a chor 2_07_11 any character either Woot Tinman or scare crow while using Steve hand gizmo the middle finger does not move until I hit space bar.

I'll take a look at it late tonight.

The problem is caused by the "translate to CabinetScenePlacement" and "orient like CabinetScenePlacement" constraints on each character's "Model Bone". If those are deleted (or set to 0%), the Hand Gizmo works fine. This problem happens when I just use a single character in a clean Choreography as well. If I use the same constraints on the "body_SQUETCH_base" bone, this does not happen...just on the "Model Bone" for some reason.

What I would recommend, for now, is to set those constraints to 0% a few frames after everything has been placed in the scene. I don't know if this can be fixed on the rigging end of things...it'll take some more experiments.

Okay, I found a fix for this. If I put a dummy Expression on the middle finger, it fixes it. I'll be posting the rig update tonight and then go through and update each TWO character...I should get it done tonight.

EDIT
------------------------------------

I only managed to get the updated rig posted, I'll have to update the rig on SVN and update the TWO characters tonight/tomorrow. I ended up having to iron out some OS issues caused indirectly by a known XP issue...I'll keep my rant to myself. dry.gif

All TWO characters have now been updated...sorry for the delay.
