I can't seem to find any face controls or face pose sliders for the Strawman Proxy. Has it been done yet?

Cheers

From what I remember, the FACE controls aren't going to work in the proxies without a lot of work if the face is rigged with muscle movement since the CP's are reduced...it wouldn't be a direct transfer of CP information from the main model. The Tinman proxy has FACE controls working because his face is rigged with bones, the TinGirl's should work as well if there is a proxy made.

Ahh - OK no problems. I'll do my acting setups before I import the primary to do the lip sync.

Has it been tried and failed? Each CP had it's own motion channels so removing some shouldn't affect the ones that remain, should it?

I didn't make the proxy models, so some of this is speculation on my part. I don't think all of the FACE rigging had been done when the proxy models were made...so, transferring the poses would have been more difficult since the CP's wouldn't retain the same name/number, they would have had to be re-done (or your eyebrow pose would move a shoulder/ankle/finger or whatever). Mark Skodacek made the proxies (at least the ones I am aware of)...he would know better than me. With the faces rigged with bones, you just have to make sure the CP weighting is similar and you retain all of your poses.

The problem here is, reducing the splines cause alot of redirecting and reconnecting of splines, the facial poses will be broken.
