I need to know what to do next. I got my TWO Project task assigned. I downloaded the needed files from the repository url and saved them to my hard drive. Now all I need some help with is how do I open up those files in Animation MAster so that I can work on my task?

I've tried a few ways with no luck. Also, if I accidently changed the program that was used to open the files, how do I revert it back to the right one? What is the best program to use to open the Prj. files and the chor. files.

Browse to the assigned project in your svn folder. Drag it into AM.

i'VE TRIED THAT SEVERAL TIMES BUT IT WON'T LET ME DO IT. Do I just drag it into a cor. window or a model window or what. I seem to missing something here that I" just not doing right.

Just find the .proj file
Drag it onto the icon you use to start AM
Then it should open up in AM.

I take it you're using v13 or later.

yeS I have v13 with the 2006 update.

You changed the program? huh?

You changed Animation Master?

You should be using A:M ver 13m (I think m is the most recent - I have been using 13j)

In A:M - go to Project/Open and then browse to where you put your prj file.

Yes I am using the V13 A.M. with 2006 update.

Maybe I can try and clarify my problem a little better.

After downloading my assigned Two Project files to my hard drive C:/TWO folder. I can't get them to open up in my A.M.
I've tried Drag and drop and import meathods with no succes. The only file that will open is the Movie take of -1-04-04, but it is just a movie file. The other two files are there also Cor. and a project file. Opening these two files is my problem.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Or file>open in A:M (prj/open only opens a prj) and locate any file you're looking for (mdl, act, mat, prj, cho, and so on). Anything on the svn can be reverted to a previous version and can only be opened A:M v13 (except decal images and sound files)

The files must be corrupted then. Try and right click on your project folder and choose REVERT from the svn options. I assume you've also installed tortoise svn.....

Yes I have the correct SVN. I'll try and use revert or something.

I get a note that says IMAGE MISSING IO PLUGIN MISSING.

I'm just now going to try and download the files again from the start. Maybe they were corupted or soething.

Do I need to download everything on the SVN the first time. I've been downloading only the scene that my task is in.

No you do not need to download everthing

Are you using PC or a MAC?

No - you do not need to download everything from the svn - However you will need to download those folders/files that are referenced by the project or chor.

I usually get the chor - try to import it - I then note the names of the files that are required by the chor (A:M comes up with messages asking to locate them - and gives the folder names as well) - and then I go back to the svn & just download the relevant files for my shot. But before I download those models, etc.. I setup the folder hierarchy on my harddrive to mimic the svn folder hierarchy so that items are located on my hard drive with the same hierarchy as the svn.

Another way to get the names of the files that you will need is to examine the chor with a text editor (eg wordpad) and find all the file names that are required by your chor. The names are usually located in the begining of the text file.

But the easiest thing might be to download the entire svn - not my choice because of the ever increasing size, and taking forever.
