Hi I am currently modeling some sets for the TWO project. I would like to create a material which uses a tilable displacement map. The color and displacement maps are finished, but I can't find a way to make a material from them.
I tried a projection map, which works for the color map but I only can choose bump or normal. Same with the bitmapplus plug in (here I get some additional seams).
I have tried to use the greyscale image as a color map and set the overall material settings to displacement, but this gives some strange artifacts.

Is there a way to use a displacement map in materials?

God I wish, that would be so nice and so much easier. The only way I have been able to get that pixle displacement to work is but using a decal, thats it. you would think both would work becasue they use the same maps. Please let me know if you figure something out.

Since TWO is the one pressing the new ideas for AM I think if you submit something on AM reports like a feature request you can get it done. But I am not a programmer and have no idea what it intails to do this, could be an easy fix or there is a reason why it is not working. Let me know the response you get if you submitt a feature request. I know I would use the crap out of this if it was a feature.
