Greets again everyone,
seems like I've been gone awhile, but I haven't quite. Apparently, my computer logged me outta the board some while ago and it wasn't until I was just now trying to post this question that I realized this. Plus, it seems that usually someone beats me to asking the question I originally plan on asking.

But anyway, I've been working on a new model and as I've been working on it, it's dawned on me that I'm still not really satisfied with the way I do eyelids. With some tweaking, I've been able to get decent results, but it's something that I'd like to start improving upon. After watching the facial expression test done by the guy that runs the Alchemy Altier site, I'd be most interested in dissecting one of his/her models. However, I know some people dislike such methods and view it as rude. I can respect that. So failing a chance to dissect one of those, I'd like to ask for advice on how everyone around here does their eyelids.

Kricket, I'm kinda looking at you on this one, considering that you've given me some great advice in the past. However, I was a little shocked to find your site's tutorials didn't really go into much detail on them. Hence, why I'm here.

So Hash forum go-ers, I await your responses. Thank you very much in advance.

I'm not sure what exactly you're asking about...rigging or modeling. So, I'll throw both at you. I made a tutorial on face rigging that you can find here and the face from that tutorial that you can dissect is located here (the May 15, 2005 entry...I'll try a direct link to the file that may not work here). It's not the greatest job of modeling and the method I used in rigging it has been updated considerably since then, but, it's there if you're interested. The face rig in that tutorial has since evolved into the bones method of face rigging in the Squetch Rig...which was adapted to work with the FACE controller made by Mark Strohbehn.

Hope that helps.

Fox: Could you post how you're currently doing eyelids and list what it is you feel you're not doing right?
