Hi all rolleyes.gif

I am desperate to be able to colour keyframes in AM's Timeline.

The default RED is nice but imagine the ability to be able to colour your keyframes!

RED for key poses, BLUE for breakdowns and so on and so on.

Is any one willing to write a little facility or plugin that will facilitate this?

For sale of course!

Thanks

Jof

Hey Jof,
I know this is more of a plugin request but if you are submitting this to A:M Reports don't stop at just color.

I know your request is for something basic (color keying would be quite useful) but keyframes have even more potential. Can we think this one all the way -through- to the other side?

What about adding other things to keyframes like... notations, labels or even images?
What if each keyframe could have XML data assigned?
What if that data could be accessed and on display via a Right Click?
What if you could choose what data was displayed/hidden from all available data?

How a plugin might do all this... not exactly sure.
Does anyone know what in the API is exposed that could be exploited this way in the SDK?

Color is good to help organize but words and images can clarify even more.
But color... yeah... color is good too. smile.gif

Hi Rodney blink.gif

But of course you are right wouldn't that be something for keyframes to be able to turned to images notations or even labels.

The reason I just stopped at Basic Keyframe Colouring was because I though well it could easy to script if one was a brilliant programmer type which 'I know the AM community as plenty of' and that it could be done even tomorrow. It should be as easy as going into the curve editor and editing curve types.

"Imagine selecting your keyframe right clicking and choosing turn to blue, nice just nice..."

However, coming from a traditional background it will be just a luxury for AM to have this ability as part of it's interface but even better if a Third Party Plugin was developed as I am sure the AM team are busy importing loads of other parts of AM.

So guys anyone up to the challenge?

I am sure it will be easier than trying to enchance rendering and all that. I am for anything that will help animating which I must say is one hell of a journey.

Anyhow I submitted this request to AM Reports ages ago but still nothing. I still thnk that it will a nice feature to boost AM's animation asernal.

I live in hope!!

Ha, ha, ha...

I'd be surprised if the SDK had the stuff in it for this.

I've never seen an A:M plugin that actually has an effect on the interface.
Jof
Hi blink.gif

Well the plugin need not have any impact on AM's interface.

It could be a 3rd party wizard called 'colour keyframes' or something...

Those dots are the interface. You can't be changing those dots and not be doing something with the interface.

It would be nice to be able to customize the curves in the curve editor as well. Just thinking loud! unsure.gif

Hi all blink.gif

So will it be that there is no way to develop a little program or plugin wizard to allow for COLOURED KEYFRAMING within AM!

I like the idea. I suggested it a couple years ago when the fellows were voting on new features but there was no interest. It would be a cool little feature I haven't seen it in any program. Submit it to AM reports and keep submitting it until they implement it. May be a while though.

No need to resubmit... Just click an A:M Reports "reminder" once in a while. There's almost 400 feature requests: we tend to do the ones that come up on TWO first. Maybe David (dagooos), who's working on TWO, will bring it up?
