Hey everybody,

I have a question for the gurus.

The problem is like so...

I have a large out-door scene.
I am using light blueish fog to make it look realistic.
In the scene there is a sprite emitter.

But unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a way I can make the sprites NOT ignore the fog

While the mountains around the sprites are fading into the distance the sprites are bright and unaltered by the fog.
Is there a solution to my plight? Or am I doomed to eternal sorrow!?!?!! ohmy.gif

Any assistance would be swell.

Render sprites separately, than composite!
DWARVEN_KING
When you render it separately and composite, can you add a fog effect to the particles before you composite? I mean, can you also render a z-buffer of the particles and use it to add a fog effect?
trajcedrv
Honestly, I don't know...

I have done this only once and when I composited particles over the other render (in compositing app, not A:M), I rendered particls without fog and then dimmed them slightly when compositing... quick n' dirty solution ;-)

could you make a small sample project with everything embedded and post it?
DWARVEN_KING
Here is one of the fog projects that came off the CD

I made the particles bigger, put the camera farther away, and (of course) turned fog on. (I also made it red so that the problem I'm having will be easier to see)

Also I saved this project under the 2006 yeti AM.

Thanks for your interest biggrin.gif

Wait that didnt work...
I keep getting this message when I trie to upload a .prj (forgive my noobness)

"Upload failed. You are not permitted to upload a file with that file extension."
