{EDIT - There appears to be a problem with others viewing my example files and I'll have to spend some time to try and figure it out. What's odd is that it works for me either way. I will revise the tutorial if necessary.}

OK,

I was really excited about this plugin such that I wrote one of my "seat of your pants" tutorials using Camtasia).

I did this one after experimenting a bit and I don't even know if everything I said was accurate.

I've been waiting for a long time!

Hi Eugene!

I got a CR*SH on your IE Hamr file ...(type 2:string 28)

I went thru this same McGilla today! You may want to read my thread in the HAMR forum. Basicly, Ken told me this advice...which ultimately did it:

1) Select embed all.
2) Consolidate to some directory. Notice where the prj file goes in the consolidation directory. It can be buried pretty deep in consolidation subdirectories.
3) Reload the prj file but this time out of the consolidation directory of step 2.
4) Export as binary prjb into the consolidation directory where the consolidated prj file went.
5) Delete the prj file from the consolidation directory but leave the prjb file.
6) At the highest level of the consolidation directory zip up the consolidation directory with all of its contents.
7) Copy this zip file (make sure it's the one by date) to your web server.

Thanks for the tutorial!
Gene
OK, it should be there now.

Can you please try again and let me know if it's ok?

I've noticed that sometimes the screen comes up black the first time. I just highlight the URL in the address bar and hit enter again. It seems to always load up the second time.

Thanks!

I still get a crash. Try checking your file paths again?

For those of you who prefer Flash.

Webhamr flash vid

Unfortunately, there appears to be somethings that still need to be worked out.

Sorry, but this will have to be tomorrow at best.

Gene- The Flash file worked much better, I could'nt make anything of the .cam file earlier either. PLUS: It loaded and begat playing right away. How much is that camtasia software?

THANKS for making that tutorial, lets hope we get some takers.
KenH
Great tutorial Gene! I learned a thing or two. Just a point on what's included in the zip....

I think you included the .prj and .prjb files in there right? As far as I'm aware, you only need one or the other. Could be wrong though.
Gene
Yes,

I learned you don't need the original project file, but only the .prjb file.

What's frustrating is that it all works fine for me, but not for others so it makes it a bit difficult to know if you are doing it right or wrong.

I'll keep at it and eventually update the tut.

Thanks,

Eugene

It's a similar problem to someone else where either the path to the media was wrong or a file wasn't included. Follow Ken's instructions on consolidating your data and it should work for us.
