I've been putting together some advanced tips and techniques in some kind of manual for myself.
I decided to share it.

I named the document 'Models for Games' because it also includes specific information about getting your models into a game engine. However, I think the modeling and texturing tips described there may prove useful in any situation.

No Sir... thank YOU! smile.gif

Emilio, I think this deserves some special attention. Bob was already looking at your "5-point texture export" problem before he went to SIGGRAPH, but I'll make sure it stays on his list.

Coool!

Here's a tip...

You can set a decal to BE A ROTOSCOPE. For that part on posing and decaling with photos.

I do this all the time. The decal is a rotoscope and acts just like one as you model or pose to match. When done you eliminate the extra step of matching the decal to the rotoscope.

[edit]

oops! The decal as rotoscope doesn't show in bones mode in an action... nevermind!

You're welcome! I failed to get into the TWO game, but at least I hope I can help a little with this.

Yeah, that, and the fact it can't be transparent nor locked. I used to use decal-rotoscopes but I ended up misplacing them all the time accidentally, which can't be undone. But anyway, they are there... smile.gif

This is an excellent tutorial. Nice job Emilio. A layman such as myself was able to understand it, which speaks volumes about your tutoring abilities.

Has it been added to the A:M tutorials? Maybe it's a good idea to post the link here?
Rodney
Dhar,

Emilio has us in a holding pattern pending additional updates.

So it's not linked in the Tutorials forum yet.
We can link to here in the short term though to help keep the spotlight on this little gem. smile.gif
