Does any one have a squetch rigged character they are willing for some one like me to look at? I am struggling with the installation and weighting of the cps. Not to mention the assigning of the cp to the bones as well.

I have two characters I need to get rigged and would really like to use the squetch rig on them as well. I have pestered David to death already.

There should be a Thom model that David uploads with the installation version.

I'm referring to the installation rig that you are installing. The zip folder that David made availlable has a rigged Thom model in it (squetchy thom) with the five and four finger installation versions.

I just looked at that and its pretty handy to get an idea of the cp waigting.it looks like some cp's are selected with more than one bone ,is that posible ? around the crotch area ,on the thigh bones and none on the hips mmm ,thinking all the time

Hi Steve

I really have made life difficult for myself. Jumping ahead then having to go back and start over and then I jump ahead. This rig helped me get the hands smoothed out. Now if I can get teh face and arms I'll be in business

That's the idea with CP Weighting, Steve. You can assign as many bones to a point as you want...I'm not aware of a limit at least. The only thing to keep in mind is that the percentages have to add up to 100%. If you don't make them add up to 100, the software will do it for you and you might not get the results you were after.

Hope that helps.

Something happened last night. The techtalk by Bob Croucher was excellent advice. I had watch a tut on weighting but thought the process of weighting was going to be so hard that was more inclined to try to smart skin. Now i have three joints moving smoothly and working on the fourth. I will u/l video of the movement tomorrow.
