A little, little snip, snip,
A little bit of tin nip,
A little braze and solder wick,
A little glue to make it stick.

That's why they call me Ku-Klip,
Because I like to snip, snip,
I like to bend and cut and drill,
There's lots of cracks and holes to fill.

There's so much more than much,
Every part I mould and touch,
But if it's too long and needs a nip,
I make a little snip, snip, snip.

But no matter how much I cut,
Some pieces just aren’t long enough,
Whatever? I'm still Ku-Klip,
So we'll take another nip and snip.

If tin rips, you have to put that in there.

I'm not sure this is even an original melody, but maybe it will give someone an idea for something better.

It definitely needs a contrasting section to go with it.

As far as copyright is concerned; if you've never had access to this melody (meaning, you've never heard it before), then rather or not someone else has written it in the past, you're okay.

How would one ever prove one had never heard a song in this mass media age?

What if this was on the episode of Hee-Haw I saw when I was 9?

If the plaintiff's attorney can make a believable case that you saw that episode of Hee-Haw, and it was from there, subconsciously, that you reproduced the melody.

I figured it out, it's from the Betty Boop theme.

Imagine my embarassment.

It occurred to me tonight that Robert Schumann's "The Happy Farmer" has a snip-snip rhythm to it.

[attachmentid=17723]Midi file not by me. Drag it into WMP or QT Player.

Snip snip... Clip clip,
That's why the call me Ku-Klip

Someone could probably take the concepts in the lyrics above and adapt them to Schumann's music.

I've played the fiddle since 1st grade and I knew that that joyfarm song sounded so familiar and I just figured out why...ehehehe....it must be a version of a song called Red Wing that I play (very similar melody anyways).

Martin it's very helpful to have heard you sing these songs this past weekend. I think that they're going to turn out excellent. I like what you've done with them! biggrin.gif

Anyone else think Martin sounds a little bit like Mr. Rogers when he sings?
I do.

Another nice melody from Niels.

very, very interesting - absolutely love it. Adds a distinctive contrast.

Listening to Ku-Klip reading, I felt the quick tempo fitted more a ballerina than Ku-Klip. Ku-Klip, being large would not move that fast. I felt a 100 BPM tempo would suit him better. So I remixed the track to a 100 BPM and lowered the pitch while I was at it.

Here an update for Ku-Klip.
