soon i'll be posting tutorials on how to do anime animals,i have a super easy super simple way!but i can't do it now i'll do it over the week end.
the pickture here is old, about 2 years old 'm much better now, in fact i've already re-drawn it.it one of the characters in a project i'm doing.but the ears are all wrong, the hair is too spikey, and theres alot of other stuff i don't like about this picture.
but its just an example.(and the black line was accidental)
i'l post some "real" ones later.(and it shows how to do much cuter and alot less serious looking animals.the look was all in the character)sorry for the bad example. ^_^'
Cathos
So you are talking about stuff like pokemon and the such?
the_black_mage
somewhat, but yeah i guess, what i do could be used to make poke'mon.but it mainly so people can make there own animals,demi-humans,monsters, or whatever.wait till you see some of the things i've done recently.each ranging from cute->to cool->kind of creepy.i have a variety of ears, eyes, and head shapes.i even used this method to draw my dog!but it did sort look cartoony, and sadly i lost it and we have a new one so i'll draw her later.oh and it turns out i did have one already scanned(and theres no black line!)!!here one i did a almost a year ago,its just the head of an entire insane monster.allot of people at school find it cute(for some reason, but she was gothic anyway)or disturbing but it there favorite, and yes this is the creepy one.as you can see his eyes is either sycotic or evil.but obviously he's vicious.i have another thats looks like a wild monster that has a one track mind....to eat.

I noticed your friend is using rpg-maker for the development tool of your game. You should direct him to http://www.verge-rpg.com.

It allows more freedom of development for rpg games, handles higher quality images then that of rpg-maker.

The programing language is simple and it can even handle 3d models.

It supports all different video formats for your cutscenes and you can even design your own battle system. Wether it would be turn based or free form-turn based or just simply a hack n slash.

It comes with a tile editor which allows you to alter your templates anyway you like. It also supports multiple layers when landscaping your foundation. Also supports alot more event handlings based off your computer rather then restricting you to the limits of the program, like rpg-maker does.

It took me 3 weeks to learn. It comes with an open sourced game which allows you examine the layout of how everything works, going off from that it was real easy.

Hope your friend gives it a shot. I think overall you'll be happier with the quality of the product, specially if you plan to sell it.

Best part of the program is, "it's free".

oh...i didn't know about this.
and no i don't plan to sell it just show it off and use it for a demo some day.

EDIT:well i took a look at it and i think i'll usee it for the next game.right now were pretty content with rpg maker right now but thx for the link any way.but i'll definately use it for the next game.witch infact is a sequal...
