Hi everybody,

I am not sure this is the right place to ask for (this particular) advise - but since I am a fairly new user this should be okay.
(I tried artistic rendering but those guys erased my condribution).

A:M keeps on crashing during rendering a scence with a fair amount of particles/hair in it.
Does that only means I need more RAM? (I got 512MB now)
Before that I never had problems with while rendering.

When I check the task-manager I see that master.exe keeps in a range from 55-220 MB usage.
So will a RAM update fix my problem?

I am grateful for any help!

It could be your ram.. but it might be that you have a shader turned on that is causing problems.

I know at one point Yves Skinshader and hair would crash on my machine. Try turning off any diffuse, ambient, or specular shaders to see if that fixes it.

If you pinpoint a problem, you should try submitting it to AM reports.

Try rendering it without hair turned on. See if it is that. Press Shift+8 to turn it off.
