nice job um...how did you do the head.i still suck at making a head i can do evey thing else but make a head.when i do it it dosn't turn out right.mainly the eyes have a weird shape.this is mainly cause i can't draw front veiw face only side and angle.
first target look(angle)
then i do a front(sorry it so big i havn't had time to size it)

Mr.Jon
Thanks u give me a comment.
how do i to improvement in the mouth area, can u give a sample to see it. laugh.gif
thank laugh.gif
jon
his lips seema little thin, but it might be as simple as not having toon lines around the lips.

for example, characters from the show 'one piece' don't really seem to have much in the way of lips at all.. just the occasional line to hint at a lower lip.

Rodney

Some inherent talent and a nice tutorial make a good combination. Very nice first attempt. You've got something there. Keep posting as you progress in your skills.

A One Piece fan! w00!

Looking really nice!

Couple things - The teeth look a bit dull to me, may want to increase their ambience (the eyes too) and maybe change their toon-line color to anything but black (like a light blue for the teeth, brown for the skin)

To get rid of the crinkly looking shadows on the left side of his face take a look at the thread called "Jagged Shadows - A solution" They'll end up looking a lot smoother like the shadows falling onto the right side of the face.

Oh and eyelids!

...i've tried that tutoral...I JUST CAN't DRAW THE FRONT OF A FACE!!!!!T_T

i know i love anime i read manga when ever possible but i can't do the front of a face free hand.i've tried starting with circles and every thing, nothing works.i can do angled, side but not front.

and don't call me mister...
jon
mr bm: if you really suck that bad, then stick to giant robots or something.

if you really want to learn, then draw faces, and try to suck a little less,

...then try some more. lather, rinse, repeat.

eventually you'll suck hardly at all.

-jon
sucking less every day.

Where do I start. Bite tongue...OW! Ooooh- thats rich! The old kettle calling the pot black.

Hey One Piece...I like your character. I would like to see you add some eyelash or eyeliner to help define his eyes....but overall, it has a nice, clean look!

nonono, its not a problem. i just thought it was kinda funny(but i'm not making fun of you), it also reminds me of a time about 5 years a go when i had a speach problem, i'd say bird as buud...amoung other things too. but i gotta admit don't stop typing your responses like that even if your english improves, it makes it cool and fun to read your posts.
