well i didn't reilly pay attention to the render time but i think the bottom one took about 25 mins or so and the top one took about 35 mins or so not 100 present sure (btw i measuring the time by the cartoons i was watching while it was rendering) wright now as i'm typing i'm rendering another pic to see differences in relfections projected on a wall ill see how long it takes

ok well i was abit busy last night so i didn't get a chance to post my pics so here they are
first one i made a replica of Luke's ROTJ saber with radiosity and caustics on and it turned out pretty cool
[attachmentid=15147]
next one is a spiral i made from a tutorial found on sherwood's forest and then gave it a glassy surface and it turned out pretty nice
[attachmentid=15149]
the next one was not suppose to happen i don't know what went wrong but heres how i had it set up i had 3 mirrors the first one was a parabolic mirror that curves in the second one was a parabolic mirror that curves out and the third one is just a simple square made with the grid wizard i was trying to get them to reflect agenst a wall so you would see 3 reflections on the wall any suggestions?

Reflecting lens flares is a nonsense. Lens flares are not real objects that exist in a scene and can reclect in other objects. Lens flares are light reflection effects that happen
inside the camera lens itself. There is no way an camera lens effect can reflect on objects in the scene outside the camera lens encasing. They don't live in the same world.

yeah but it would be nice if it did...having the sun shining off of a metal object would ceate a beautiful effect.

I've mentioned before that a lens flare based on light intensity is a feature idea that we have considered in the past but did not implement. If you want it, you should say so in A:M Reports, and mark your suggestion as "feature."

Isn't the topic of this thread "caustics"? You should post that in the Wip section.
