Just a little tip for you guys making sets for TWO. Here's a set made previously that I'm stripping down in splines. I've done the central window. You can see there are alot less splines and it renders pretty similar....especially at the distance that's needed. The original is a beautiful model with lots of work put into it, but all the detail isn't necessary for our story. This particular model will be seen at a distance and all that detail adds to the resources needed as it goes through the "conveyor belt" of putting it on screen.
(This is just an example that I have to hand and isn't meant to offend anyone.)
So, to summerise. Start off with as low detail as you can. The proxy models are perfect. And just add detail to the areas that the camera will see. It will save you work making the stuff.....and maybe save me stripping it down.
