I agree with Eric here. Whoever did the goose could modify it to the rooster.

EDIT: LOL, nevermind.

My reputation seems to need a little push, it's a laggin, lol. laugh.gif

Did you just model two different wing types? Just wondering they both look good.
cstanton
Shouldn't the rooster have a heel spur?

The rooster will have a shoe thrown at it. I wanted to give the animators the choice to use flapping wings if they wanted to. Seems to me that the rooster would flap around after the shoe shot. So yes, I modeled two different wing types. After doing some research on this, I could have done one set to do both, but time constraints didn't permit it.

If Bob wants heel spurs, I'll add them, but this isn't supposed to be too realistic, just cartoony.

Thank you.

It's time for the Rooster to make his debut. He needs work though.

Eric: Are you the guy to get him ready to animate or do I need to ask David H.?

Mark Skodacek is the primary rigger. (mtpeak2)

Primary Rigger.

That either sounds important or dirty.

Just saw this post.

The wings are not rigged. It uses the same rig as the goose which uses muscle poses for the wings. When I rigged these models I wasn't sure how they were going to be textured, hair feathers or decalled. Face rig is not in place, not sure if was going to be used. I was getting my direction from Bob at the time. So I'm still not sure how to procede. If a rig is needed, maybe David could come up with a wing rig.

pdaley
Well, the rooster needs a pretty full range of movement. He also needs a working face, but probably not a full FACE rig. The camera won't be right up on him (full shots only) if that makes a difference.

PF Mark told me that the pose sliders for the wings aren't doing anything. That's whay I asked about the rig. If the sliders actually do work, then we might be able to avoid rigging the wings.
