So I went to Media Play a couple of days ago cause they are going out of business. They have always been overpriced in my opinion and I never really shopped there. However, with everything in the store 40%-60% off I thought I might run across a couple of good deals.

The PSP UMD movies were on sale at 40% off. For most of them, this merely brought the price down to what you would pay for them at Walmart. However, they happened to have a couple of Anime titles that I could pick up for about 8 bucks a piece. I couldn't resist so I got Gungrave and Helsing.

Keep in mind that there is no return policy since they are going out of business.

A couple of hours later, I am at home and I decide to check out Gungrave first. This is made by the same peeps that made Trigun (one of my personal favorites). So I take the little UMD out of the case and pop it in my PSP. Lo and behold it comes up as Helsing episodes 1-3. Thinking maybe I made a mistake, I check out the case to make sure I opened the right one. I certainly had. So I pull the UMD out and it says Gungrave clearly on the front. So not having ever seen either of these shows, I watch for a few minutes to make sure that maybe Gungrave isn't just another name for a more recent or older version of Helsing.....Nope. What I did notice though is that they are both released by the same distributor. I can only assume at this point that it was a major screwup on their part. I have not looked into it too deeply.

So I haven't opened the Helsing one yet. It is killing me of course. Even though I know the odds are astronomically against it, I can't help but think that the Gungrave one will be in the Helsing case. I know this is silly but until I open it and look, I will never be satisfied.

So anyway.....off topic sort of, just wanted to share an interesting experience.

Dude that's pretty funny, you should keep it. It may be worth money some day.

LOL such a shame tho, Gungrave's a great series. (well, not the first episode, but everything after that)

Pickup a working copy when you can.

Seriously? Gungrave gets better after the first episode? Because I stopped watching it after the first one; it was pretty awful.

Very serious. It's a night and day difference. I dont even know why they did that with the first episode, most likely to appease the fans of the videogame which it's based on b/c most of the series is nothing like it. (til near the end)

If you've seen Berserk it's like that, the first episode takes place in the future, the rest of the series is about how they get to that point. (If you stopped watching Berserk after the first ep, I weep for you)
