Full Version: I don't think the FACE pose tasks have been assigned to me yet

I'm trying to get on to how the dotproject procedures work. As far as I can tell I haven't yet been assigned the tasks of doing the FACE poses for Woot's mom and Skinny Farmhand, so can't log any progress. Am I missing something, or has it just not been assigned to me yet?

Also, I downloaded all of the TWO data and would like to update my model - just to make sure I have the latest stuff. When I hit the receive button it says that the directory I'm downloading to isn't empty and do I really want to do it? What do I need to do here to just download the changes? (sorry, I've read the info and it's not clear to me yet)

And then after I make changes to the model, I'm supposed to save my new copy over the old copy in the TWO directory and hit the "send" button? unsure.gif

I think if you find the folder through windows explorer, it should have a green tick mark on it. Then if you right click, you can update(download changes) or commit (upload changes you made).
I don't know if it works like that in the Community window.

Thanks a lot Ken. That appears to be just what I needed to know.

Your tasks should be emailed to you. Are you getting them? The contain a URL to your assigned tasks.

Cheers

I did get a couple of emails a few days ago that appeared to be from the log of the Mum Cycle Animation Test, but didn't realize these were the actual task assignments for me. I'll look at them again tonight and see how it works. Thanks for the reply, David.

Ok, here's what I do. Save your model over the svn file that was downloaded. Always receive before sending to get any updates that were made on the file you were working on, that merges the two files, then send or commit from the windows context menu. Sending the file before getting any updates may cause a conflict or a message that your file is out of date. Don't worry about the directory is not empty.

David, you need to put an end date when assigning the task or it will not show up in the todo tasks list.

Yeah - thats what Noel said - but the end date is pre-populated when I create the tasks so not sure what the deal is.

If you give me an example task url and what isn't working I can take a look.
Thanks
