lol Nice sketches. I think these characters are perfect for people who are trying to improve their character modeling skills. If there are no responses in a few days though, I'll bag them for myself.

OK, added to the project plan.
Dave - You've got the fat guy

- in the plan. (and add yourself as a user in dotProject so I can allocate the task to you - I don't have user admin access so I can't create you)

I'll take the skinny guy if no one else claims him. I'll give it a few days. These guys don't need to talk, so they probably could be fairly low patch. Maybe they could even serve as the basis for the male uber winkie?
Whatever ends up being the uber winkie should be low patch (within reason) as it will make it easier to manipulate them.

Hey Ken, I was up for the skinny guy too. I'll fight you for him

.
Seriously, if you really want him let me know. Otherwise I will take him. I still have to do reworking on the loons.

Go for it Jeff. There are plenty of other things for me to do. Like Woot's Mum who doesn't seem to have any takers.

I just wanted to know how hard it is to model something like this. How do you know how to get a 3D model from a 2D sketch? I am dying to know how to do this. Please someone help me.

Exercise 11 and 11.5 in TOAM are all you need. There are video versions of these excercises on the Hash site and on the Extras DVD.
