I think adding rigging, smart skin, poses ect tasks to each character in the modeling section will be easier than duplicating the whole characters tree under a rigging task. As an example I did the characters mentioned in the subject.

Yes but you can't then track rigging as a whole! Not a major issue just depends on how one wants to monitor the project. If Martin, Bob and the directors are happy then I'm happy

Yep I changed this just before I left on vacation. Didn't get a chance to mention it here. I think the new way is better. I have also been trying to make each task name fully describe it instead of "lighting" put "_1_2_3 lighting" (or whatever the act seq scene naming convention happens to be)
