i recen'y finished "modeling" this girl and i want to know what every one thinks i don't have a pic cause were moving so just download it.naomi

the link should work i'm useing a library computer.

oh and btw i'm like 13 so don't expect much
Eric2575
Please don't take this wrong, but I will not download a file from a "new" user from an unknown location. It is not difficult to post an image. To say that you could not post an image because you are moving doesn't quite cut it. If you had enough time to model a character, you've certainly had enough time to post it.

Call me paranoid, but I'll wait till you post it to critique it.

Take a look at your model from the top down, it looks very square and blockish. you should smooth it out and make it more circular (the torso area and other spots)

Other than that it's looking great!
the_black_mage
thx, i thought so to but like a siad i can't wor on it now were a little broke at the moment and can't go get it yet but thats really my second model just re made i'm gonna make it again once i get my computer back.

oh,and i understand what you mean, but it is true that i don't have my computer at the moment i'd just post a pic if i could.

btw is that the only problem?
Eric2575
Well, I loaded the model and my computer tells me the security information does not match. When I tried to load it inot AM, I got the message "invalid model". I tried. No other problems except those mentioned.

Render your model, take a screenshot, crop and post in the thread. It's fast and easy.
the_black_mage
rely,hmmm.
well like i said i can't do it now.i will once i get my computer.

Kricket hit it when he said it was flat in areas, so like he said, round it out around the abdominal area, and the jacket sleeves. Also, unless in the animation you are going to use this model in she takes off her jacket, I would suggest not to make the arm inside of it, gives it unneeded patches and slowes everything down, plus your render time will probably be a while. Also, you need to work on the smart skin because when I went to the action and moved the arms, the jacket sleeve disapeared into the arm, again that could be avoided if you take away the arm and just leave the jacket.

Also I don't think to many people will help you out if you keep up your sarcastic attitude. Just a thought

I took the liberty...

I mean that you asked for you character to be critiqued, and when Eric tried to help you by saying post some pics, you just busted your load.

Anyways, you don't have to take the picture off, just think of it as showing the progression of the project.
Keep it up.

um ok i guess

Good to finally see your model. For a beginning modeler, you did a teriffic job.

As was already mentioned, the waist and back look blocky, needs some smoothy. You can actually see lines going up and down her waist in front and back. Also take a look at her shoes. I don't know that much about Anime characters, but one of her shoes is about the size of her head. Also, the hat looks too static. Make it droop a little, give it more character.

You're off to a great start.
Kricket
Actually the big shoe thing is pretty normal. Just one style tho.

I see what you mean, lol
the_black_mage
lol, yeah all of the main character in the game had big shoes.but to tell the truth i wasn't aiming for that ^_^'. but the main reason the model looks like that is because thats how i "used" to draw i draw alot better now thx to reading several how to draw manga books, reading alot of manga, watching alot of anime.so in the final version i'll have the female figure all right and i'll mahe my own head this time!the eyes will look better(some of you have seen it i think i posted it in the new comers section bfor i found out there was an anime section.).the character will be thinner and the hair will look better in alot of ways.i'm also gonna see what i can do with the hair system in my model.
